Assignment 4: Robot seeking pleasure

We took a bit of time off, but finally we're back!

Here is a robot seeking pleasure, and where would one go? Perhaps the car wash to get clean?

This guy was inspired by all the eclectic robotic things that I've like in over the years from Voltron, Gundam, and even MegaMan (probably more mega man than I thought). But the character has oversized hands that carry down to his feet and also organic things that are embedded in him like teeth from an oversized animal. He is also equipped with a huge sword, but enjoys going to the car wash to get shined up!

Han Soder's tardy submission

Okay, I fail this time automatically because of my extreme tardiness. I had done a bunch of pencil sketches of various carrier ostriches. I felt like they were a bit too conventional, or similar to the previous submissions. SO, one day during a break from painting I taped a piece of canvas up and just sketched this out with little planning. It is an ostrich who carries souls to hell.

NEXT ASSIGNMENT:
An old inventor (human) who makes a bionic arm that is one part MegaMan blaster and one part intelligent robot puppet. I don't know... I made this up as I was typing...but sounds good to me!

Carrier Ostrich : Mr. Toad

So my idea for Carrier Ostrich is that he is a Mail Man (bird) type, but like all Ostriches, he eats everything. Even things that shouldn't be eaten, like a mail box or a package. I did a bunch of sketches, and then attempted to add some color with Watercolor. I also used the same body and photoshoped the different heads on him.

Assignment Three: Carrier Ostrich

For our next assignment, we will be doing a Carrier Ostrich (think Carrier Pigeon). He should be some type of wacky Ostrich who carries any type of thing, ie. mail, packages, people or whatever you choose... Please describe your story when you post.

I went with a WW1 theme. My father was in that war and while generally looking and behaving normally he did have a piggy nose. So these are dedicated to his memory.

So, here is my war pig. I realized its hard to draw pigs, but after many attempts, here is what I came up with.I may do some other versions with other uniforms/weapons, but this is it for now. I also posted my original sketch on tracing paper before I finalized it. I tend to like these better than the final....
